w39 – Procedural Circle Objects
This one has been on my mind for quite a few weeks, the “Circle Object” first appeared on this blog 10th of April. I wanted to do something similar, and further explore procedural content. It’s not as complex as most of what we have seen the recent 4-5 years in the best 4k intros, but simple enough to pull off during a 3h train ride. See the finished result here:
The first step was to randomize the positions from the “Benchmark Cover” project.
Then apply a few lines of GLSL to create layers and cuts based on radius and angle
Add some fog and additive blending
Some blur and fake chromatic abbrivation and et volià, Destination finally reached.
